Silly Anna-bug

Miss Anna has been amusing Rob and I quite a bit this week with her silly little antics. She pointed to the phone the other day then put her hand up to her ear and said "Hi! Hi! Hi!" Later she was pushing the phone in her Little People House and saying "Hi!" as if she were answering the phone. Just tonight, she pointed to the phone, said "Hi!" then started jabbering in baby language like she was having a conversation. If I put her on the phone with a live person, however, she clams up and just smiles at the phone.

She's teething again, this time three teeth in the back. Hers seem to come in packs. She's not cranky, just needs her pacifier more often (usually only gets it at sleep times) and has wanted her special blankie. The blankie, by the way, was a new discovery for us. About a month ago, I noticed something on it and threw it into the laundry basket right before her naptime. I checked on her later and she had pulled it through the crib bars and was sleeping with it! Rob washed it on Sunday after she had an accident in the crib and went it came out of the dryer, she cuddled up in it and walked all over the house with it. And this is not a small blanket! It's a baby-sized quilt! The last few times we went to Illinois, she cried herself to sleep and we know why--she didn't have her blankie! Poor baby...Mommy just didn't know!

And, she has already become a tattle-tale. If the boys are doing something wrong, she'll run after them, point her finger, and yell "NO!" repeatedly. It's funny now.....

She finally says "bye" to Daddy. She also says "ball", "book", and tries to repeat other words. She likes to play with the boys, but mainly grabs their toys and tries to run away from them. She's pretty good about giving us things she finds that she's not supposed to have, but does occasionally run from us as well. It's really not too hard to catch her at this point.

And, finally, Anna is a carnivore. She loves any and all kinds of meat: pork chops, hot dogs, hamburger, fish, sausage, brats, chicken, you name it. She is eating fruit now, but mainly bananas. The only veggie I've seen her consume in any real quantity is broccoli. I don't think either of the boys were big on meat at this age. Rob just hopes she doesn't get gout :)
