How to be Black

This morning at breakfast I was enjoying my iced coffee when Matthew asked, "Hey, Mom? If you drink too much coffee, will you turn brown like Mr. Doug? (the African-American father of a friend of his). I said, "Mr. Doug didn't turn brown b/c he drank too much coffee, sweetie. He was born that way." Matthew replied, "I know, Mom, but will YOU turn brown if you drink too much coffee." I told him no and then he asked, "Well, what if you eat too much chocolate?"

Mercy, if that were the case I'd be blacker than midnight!!
